Givi Eliava Martvili Museum of Local Lore was founded in 1957, where , basically, the archaeological materials are preserved. The Museum houses collections of archaeological materials of the Early Stone Age and the Bronze Age, including implements, weapons, ceremonial stones, adornments made in various materials, and others.

Museum fund keeps rich numismatic collection: IV-II c.c. B.C. gold coins, Cholchian tetri, collection of X-XVIII c.c. silver coins, XVIII-XIX c.c. manuscripts and charters, etc. The museum houses a library of XIX-XX c.c. editions (5.000 items), and collection of paintings of Contemporary Georgian artists.

The museum owns land with a vineyard with a unique Cholchian vine, as well as ethnographic section.
